Frist artwork:
Deer feeds the wolf cub by hontor
***
In our world, this situation is only an amusing oxymoron, utopia. However, in another way of evolution is possible. With this little sculpture, I slowly open a series on the life and philosophy of Esvarra, one of the worlds in my author's universe.
Due to the unique characteristics mammals on this planet (Earth alternate version) live in a single social conglomerate. Therefore on Esvarra is a normal situation when the herbivore nurses the predator cub, and conversely. Both males and females can feed milk. Lactation triggered not only by birth, but from the view of any young one.

On Esvarra do not wolves and deers, although some animals look like the earth.
This is symbol's translation from Esvarra's language into human readable language of images.
For humans, this symbol is also not a stranger. This reflects the dream of mankind of Eden, where the lion and the lamb will lie down. Unfortunately for the people it's just a barren dream. We want to get ready from God and do not want to build this world of our own.

I wrote a bit about my world here -
Hayns: biological and ethological background
BIOLOGICAL AND ETHOLOGICAL BACKGROUND OF HAYNS’ SOCIAL ORGANIZATION
Here I’m going to indicate basic unique features of hayns and lionars in short, partially elucidating, but not going deeper in history of their development.
Hayns – highly-specialized empaths. This means they can directly feel emotions and thoughts of their kinsmen and other animals; also they can transmit their own feelings and thoughts.
Empathy - characteristic of a class, not the species or even detachment. All mammals of Esvarra, unlike birds, predatory dinosaurs (raptors) and less evolved creatures, have empathy in one way or another. The special sense organ – empathic hair – evolved from wool on head and neck.
In the early phase Empathy gave a great advantage for herbivorous, insectivore and granivorous animals, scavengers as well. But it became an obstacle to the progress of full-fledged predators, which accounts for a peculiar specific structure of Esvarra’s fauna in h

It explains some of the strange behavior of Esvarra's animals.

I did not fix this work on the stand. Wolf and deer surprisingly interactive.

Is the wolf based on the one from legend that suckled Romulus and Remus? Sorry, it just vaguely reminds me of that one and I was curious.

Looks more like a hyena to me. Nevertheless, a fantastic piece of sculpting!

It really pleases me. I did not make this creature look like a hyena specifically, but very pleased with the similarity. This is very true in terms of the overall concept.
